I had been taking pictures of graffiti since 2014 and have loved graffiti for as long as I could remember. One day before meeting friends for beers in the Design District, came across this piece by Humor and decided to stop and take a pic. Once I got back to my place, decided I would create a new Instagram account to post graffiti under because my personal IG account, no on gave a fuck and understandably so. I had a print on my wall of a discarded Fresh Paint can with the actual can next to it hung up. So being completely unoriginal decided to name the new IG account FRESHPAINT Photography (which then turned into FRESHPAINT Magazine). Yea some people give me shit about the name (I get it, but I don’t give a shit), but I never claimed to be original on the name front. What I did bring to the table was actual good photos of graffiti and supporting the city of Dallas and the graffiti writers that were out there doing their thing. So all in all this was the piece that started it all and props to Humor for that.
