Debt

Debt is one of the longest standing and active graffiti writers in Dallas. Over the course of his graff career, I don’t think he has taken a break. Still out there painting the city showing everyone how it’s supposed to be done. He’s smart, he doesn’t paint the side of some expensive new building that the city is going to lose their shit on. He paints containers, underpasses, abandos inside and out and other spots alike. These spots are completely visible from the streets and always paints huge, but since it’s spots that are low buff risk, his shit rides. I’ve actually seen his containers move from one spot to another giving him new placement for his piece, a new audience. A construction container is likely not going to get buffed but makes an awesome canvas for his work. After interviewing Debt in the first issue, I learned a lot about the history and current state of Dallas graffiti. Lot’s of funny stories, drama and a true winding history of how he ended up where he is today. Even though he has some true haters, he has the attention and respect by most of the Dallas graff community. A true Dallas graffiti legend by this point.
