The summer of 2017, I met with super cool dude Ronin. He really shaped a lot of the graffiti journalist and writer I am today. Ronin is a free spirit, roams where his journey takes him. At the time he was making a documentary in Dallas, mainly about west Dallas and the Fabrication Yard. He asked if I wanted to be in the documentary and filmed me while driving around. We ended up at this spot where Ponchaveli had done his JFK mural and looked up and saw the Ucron billboard. I had seen this billboard before, but wasn’t sure how to flick it. This is one of those situations where “everything happens for a reason”. Took a trip out with a new friend and wound up getting one of my favorite flicks to date of a legendary Dallas graffiti writer.
