THE STREETS

THE STREETS

Believe it or not, I take time out of my day and week to go flick graffiti. Dallas is not a walkable city in terms of flicking graffiti. You have to drive the metroplex, look for pieces, look for the likely hit spots all around town. Downtown Dallas may have been more crushed back in the day, but these days it's pretty minimal, so walking around downtown to flick graffiti is useless. When I was only doing the Instagram account I would pause and think to myself "why am I doing this?", but always came back to it's because I love graffiti. Then when it turned into a magazine, it was about capturing content and doing this on my own. This became my subject matter for when I wanted to get serious about photography. Feel like this is more photo journalism instead of just photography. It was also important to me to take high quality and cool shots. Not just, here is this piece of graffiti. I want to capture the surroundings, the skyline, the elements. Make the pieces come to life. The Streets section of the site is all about people who get up in the world of illegal street bombing. No legal pieces here. This is graffiti in every sense of the definition.
